The Material Foundation: Molecular-Level Roll Bonding Technology

Traditional 99.99% pure nickel sheets offer excellent compatibility with resistance spot welding and laser welding. However, when carrying continuous high currents, their higher electrical resistance generates significant Joule heating. Conversely, while T2 copper boasts micro-ohm low internal resistance, its high reflectivity to near-infrared lasers (over 90%) and rapid heat dissipation make direct welding highly prone to spatter, weak joints, or even piercing the cell's safety valve.

The copper-nickel bimetallic material provided by Arida Machinery utilizes advanced molecular-level roll bonding technology.

  • Physical Metallurgical Bonding: The interface between copper and nickel is not a simple electroplated coating. High-pressure rolling achieves dense bonding at the atomic level, ensuring the material will absolutely not delaminate or peel under extreme vibration and thermal expansion/contraction scenarios.

  • Thermodynamic and Optical Balance: The copper base layer handles large current flows and efficient heat transfer, actively suppressing temperature rise during fast charging. Meanwhile, the pure nickel surface layer significantly increases the laser absorption rate, widening the welding process window. This allows for precise penetration control and the formation of a high-strength alloy weld pool.

Process Advancement: From Laser-Cut Prototypes to Million-Level Precision Stamping Molds

Compared to laser cutting, continuous stamping not only drastically reduces unit manufacturing costs but also achieves extremely strict, micron-level dimensional consistency at a million-level capacity.

Topology Design: Hardcore Delivery for Complex Arrays

As shown in the recently disclosed engineering photos, the clad interconnects delivered by Arida Machinery have evolved far beyond basic strip formats into highly customized, array-style polygonal topologies.

  • Stress Relief and Anti-Shift Design: The micro-slits and counterbores pre-fabricated on the formed parts effectively release the mechanical stress generated during the expansion and contraction of cells, protecting the solder joints from tearing.

  • Micro-Level Burr Suppression: We enforce strict mold clearance management and cutting speed control. The edges of all stamped clad parts (especially at the Cu-Ni interface) are exceptionally smooth, completely eliminating the fatal risk of micro metal burrs piercing the cell's insulation film and causing internal short circuits.
